The SCA's (School Construction Authority) mission is to design and construct safe, attractive and environmentally sound public schools throughout the many communities of NYC.
The presentation displays the Capital Plan 2020-2024, and the projects in District 15.
District Leadership Teams (DLTs) develop a District Comprehensive Educational Plan (DCEP). Once it is developed, they update it yearly. Doing so ensures that the most current data is available to everyone.
The Office of District Planning (ODP) gives an annual presentation to every CEC, in order to review, and receive input on what the community feels are the most pressing needs, and priorities within the district.
Even when we strive for equity for individuals of all different identities, our unconscious brains can get in the way of those goals. On Sept. 26, 2019 the Perception Institute explored key concepts from the mind sciences, including implicit bias, racial anxiety, and stereotype threat.
Over the last 6 months, D15 school community members and representatives from the Department of Education (DOE) have been discussing potential rezoning and admission changes for 7 of our elementary schools: PS 15, PS 29, PS 32, PS 38, PS 58, PS 261 and PS 676.
